My kids of Fall......

Chase played his last game today. It was sad to see the season come to an end, but a relief at the same time. Chase played a wonderful season. His team, overall, did not do good. They won 1 game, yep, that's all. Despite their record, Chase stayed positive and continued to play his best. He really enjoyed being kicker this year. We are looking forward to the Spring football season!!!

Dani is growing like crazy! She is almost 7 months old. She has such a personality on her. We are always laughing at something she does. Her latest thing is the "piggy snort". She does it when she gets excited. She has also learned how to give kisses. As slobbery as they are, we love them!
She started crawling a few weeks ago. Since then, she has learned to stand up in her bed. Thankfully, she has not started pulling up on furniture. I am sure the day will come soon, but I am not rushing it. Each day, she reminds me of Chase as a baby. =)

Dani's 6 month photo shoot

First of all, I cannot believe that Dani is almost 6 months old! Where has the time gone??!! I wonder this a lot with Chase too. Next year, my little guy will be in 6th grade!
Last night we went to Challenger Park for the photo shoot. It was so humid! Brit did an amazing job at getting Dani to smile. Chase wanted so bad to just go and play so we did their pics early on. Chase was a sport too! Once Dani got on the ground all she wanted to do was play with the grass. Chase just had to stand there and smile so we could snap Dani when she looked up.
We did a clothes line theme which came out AMAZING! They hung up a few of Dani's "baby" clothes and put her in a basket. She was all smiles! I missed the first part of that shoot since I was helping Chase find his football in the woods. Apparently asking his "scared to death of spiders and snakes" mom to help find a ball in the woods sounded like a good idea at the time. =)
We cannot wait to get the pictures back. Thank you Locked Illusions Photography!!

Football season is here for Chase

We have had 2 games so far. I wish I could say that we won them, but cannot. =(
The first game was fun to watch. The boys were obviously nervous. I would be too! Chase did the kick off to start the game. He got a few really good tackles in both of the games too!
Before each game, the team does a group prayer. I love that they do this, because so many teams do not.

Someone wants to crawl.....

Can we say kicker??!!

Chase had a scrimmage on Saturday and did an amazing job, as usual. I think it is safe to say he will be kicker this year! I took a couple of 10 second videos of him kicking. His first game is Wednesday night! Time to get started making those noise makers!!

Labor Day Weekend

We are coming to the end of our Labor Day weekend. It has been so relaxing. I love having Cory home on the weekends. I get to take those well needed naps ;)
Chase had a scrimmage early Saturday morning, which he ROCKED at! I cannot wait for the first game on 09/15!!! Given that the first game is right around the corner, I have a lot to do! I need to make a noise maker for the games. I am thinking of decorating a cowbell with the team colors. I also need to make Dani an outfit to show her support for the team and her brother.
We decided to grill Sunday instead of Monday. Good thing too, because the weather today is not bbq weather. It has been raining all day long. I tried a new recipe for our burgers (thanks to Katy) and they turned out amazing!
Hope everyone had a wonderful and relaxing weekend!
